Desur House by Ar. Shreyas patil and Ojas by Ar. Parth Sangolli explained their ideas of design in the project. 2nd-semester students were exposed to different elements of space-making and detailing of different materials.
A 2-day study tour to Dhamapur village, Sindhudurg taluk, Malvan was conducted for 4th semester students as part of the Humanities subject. The students were introduced to socio-cultural, religious, and ecological aspects of the lifestyle of the village. The study included interviewing the villagers in different clusters, and a photographic study.
The Housing Studio aims to prioritize safeguarding its historic character, and cultural and natural resources for which it is valued most and encourage development that respects these. The approach of the studio for the heritage-based development of Badami is to protect valuable historic monuments with as much of its natural and cultural.
