The Department of Aeronautical Engineering at KLS Gogte Institute of Technology organized a technical seminar on “Space Communication – Practical Perspectives.” The session was delivered by B. A. Subramani, a retired engineer from U R Rao Satellite Centre, Indian Space Research Organisation.

During the seminar, the speaker shared insights on satellite communication, amateur radio technology, and practical aspects of space missions, drawing from his involvement in missions such as Chandrayaan-1, Mars Orbiter Mission, and Chandrayaan-3. He also highlighted how basic and low-cost systems can be used to establish satellite communication and ground station setups, making space communication more accessible for students and educational institutions.

Along with students of KLS GIT, students from other KLS institutions also actively participated in the seminar. The session provided students with valuable exposure to real-world space communication systems and emerging opportunities in space technology.
