Title of the STTP: Cybersecurity Essentials: Tools, Techniques, and Careers”
Date and Time of the Event: 17th -18th July,2025 from 10AM-05PM
Objective/Purpose of STTP: The objective of this workshopis to provide practical knowledge with Cyber Security concepts with Hands-on approach.
Objectives:
- To provide participants with a strong foundation in cybersecurity concepts and threats.
- To offer hands-on experience with tools such as Kali Linux, NMAP, Metasploit, Wireshark and Burp Suite.
- To explore real-world vulnerabilities in web applications using DVWA (Damn Vulnerable Web Application).
Expected Outcome of the STTP: The workshop will help the participants to gain knowledge on various types security aspects as mentioned below
- Understand the fundamentals of cybersecurity, network models, and protocols.
- Navigate and utilize Kali Linux for basic security operations and file management.
- Perform network scanning and vulnerability assessments using NMAP.
- Identify and exploit basic web application vulnerabilities (like SQLi, XSS, IDOR) through tools like Burp Suite and DVWA
